Bright & Colourful Wedding Inspiration | Love in Lala Land

April 20, 2023

Here is some bright and colourful wedding inspiration from the most beautiful wedding at La Palma restaurant in downtown Toronto. Laura and Lawrence (La-La) incorporated a pop of colour throughout their day from their ceremony to their funky photo booth. This wedding felt like the perfect punch of spring colours for a bright March day.

BRIGHT & COLOURFUL WEDDING INSPIRATION

One of the ways to set the tone is to create an invitation suite. Laura worked with Paper & Poste to create a wedding invitation suite that focused on their bright and colourful wedding theme. To compliment the invites I used some of the more colourful flowers from the arrangement to make a flat lay. In order to prime your guests for a colourful day, the invitation suite is the perfect statement.

COLOURFUL WEDDING PREP

First, the day started with Laura and Lawrence getting ready at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Toronto. The light coming through the window highlighted the incredibly bright and colourful wedding bouquet from Hunt & Gather Floral. In particular, the sun creating a flare on the bouquet was magical! Laura started the day with her parent’s looking through their old wedding album. Not to mention, one of Laura’s ‘something borrowed’ was the hair piece that her mum wore on her wedding day.

BRIGHT WEDDING CEREMONY VIBES

Next, we headed to the venue on Dundas Street West, La Palma, a beautiful restaurant in Trinity Bellwoods. On arrival at the restaurant, bright colours were everywhere for the eye to see! The floral installation around the bar was filled with vibrant colours – eye-catching burnt orange coupled with pretty pinks! The multi-coloured arrangements on either side of the bar created the perfect focal point for the wedding ceremony. In addition to the flowers, they had also created a photo wall using all different colours of streamers. After the ceremony, everyone connected over appetizers and some sentimental speeches. It was incredibly special to document Laura’s wedding day. Above all, I will be forever grateful that they chose me as their photographer.

To give you a quick summary – don’t be afraid to use colour in your wedding day. Instead of focusing on one colour, why not have them all?
